CBS News had a story about an autistic teenager who, as a dedicated team manager for his high school basketball team, amazed everybody on the court. With a few minutes left in the game, his coach put him in to play.
OK, so this was in 2006. So I am 3 years behind.
I have been receiving this video at least once a week for the past couple months. Each time, I view it again in amazement. Not only because of Jason, but because of the faith and encouragement demonstrated by his team, students, and community.

Mel Lester, E-Quip Blog, writes on a very interesting and “hot” topic lately on business development and selling. Admittedly so, we are not all the best sales people, but some of us are.
Lester discusses some traits he thinks are essential to sales success:
- Care about people.
- Good listener.
- Determined.
- Disciplined.
- Strong problem solver.
- Adaptable.
These are all very important to consider when searching for an architect, engineer, construction, or real estate professional for a position in business development, marketing, sales, or management. Your managers should have the ability to sell work to new and existing clients.

It’s an interesting change we are seeing in the business world lately, and the status of the economy has pushed us even deeper into this type of thinking.

A very good friend of mine, June Podagrosi, who runs Child’s Play Touring Theatre is hosting an event this Sunday. She is an amazing woman who has been able to bring theatre into many children’s lives, while making their creation a reality.
If you are in Chicago this weekend, check out the event. If you’re not, but feel a few dollars burning in your wallet, they won’t turn the donation away.
Hopefully I will see you all there!
