Make a decision

“If you take too long in deciding what to do with your
life, you’ll find you’ve done it.”
Motivational Speaker, Pam Shaw

Great quote!  Too many people sit around and try to weight the pro’s and con’s of every career decision, product invention, networking, etc.  Use the pasta strategy; throw it, see what sticks.

Morefield continues his 5 cent booth

April 1, 2009 Leave a comment

My Fox PA recently reported an update on 5 Cent Architect, John Morefield.  Morefield was laid off twice by Seattle-based architecture firm last year and decided to get a bit creative with a 5 cent booth, giving architectural advice.

The story reports on some of the leads and potential design jobs he has been following up on.

Creativity in this market is necessary.  Not only has Morefield put himself out there as a job-seeker, but set up a catchy shop (we all remember the 5 cent Charlie Brown booth), and mass amounts of press and media.  I would not be surprised if we see job offers pour into Morefield when the design and building industry picks up!
